An international seminar jointly promoted by the ISIGrowth project and the Graduate Program in Economic Development (PPGDE) has been held at the University of Parana in Brazil from November 7th to 10th. The event – Advances in Economic Dynamics and Development: Economics and Complexity – has seen the presence of researchers and Professors from several Universities abroad and from Brazil in partnership with PPGDE’s Professors. The fourth edition of ‘Advances in Economics Dynamics and Development: Economics and Complexity’ continues to focus on the topic of Complexity and Economics, which has become an increasing and promising field of research in all areas of knowledge. New concepts, theories and methods are helping scientists and policy makers to improve and extend their comprehension of the real world. The seminar presented theoretical, quantitative and computational approaches on the following economic issues: Development, Growth, Innovation, Structural Change, Micro and Macroeconomics Agent Based Modelling, Firm and Consumer Behaviour and Income Distribution. ISIGrowth’ researchers Andrea Roventini, Tommaso Ciarli and Marco Valente participated at the seminar.
