A major Conference on “Finance networks and sustainability” will be held in Zurich from the 11th to the 13th of January 2017. The Conference is organized by the Center for Financial Networks and Sustainability (Finexus) of the University of Zurich and it is supported by the ISIGrowth project, alongside the Dolfins Project, the Simpol Project and BigData Finance.

The Conference aims to bring together scholars, policy makers and civil society to debate the nexus among financial stability, environmental sustainability and financial inclusion, building on insights from the rapidly growing scientific field of Financial Networks. Analysing the financial system as a network of actors and contracts provides crucial insights into how regulators and practitioners can address risk and into the role financial actors can play in the pathway towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy.

Keynote speakers at the Conference include the Nobel laureate and ISIGrowth researcher Joseph Stiglitz (Columbia University), together with Franklin Allen (Imperial College), Lucas Bretschger (ETH Zurich), Rama Cont (Imperial College). ISIGrowth researchers Stefano Battiston (UZH) and Mauro Napoletano (OFCE) will speak at the Conference.
