Women and Work Appg Meeting: ‘Gig’ Work And Disruptive Industries: Who Benefits?

Throughout 2017 the Women and Work APPG is conducting an inquiry focused on making the Industrial Strategy work for women. New business models such as the ‘gig’ economy are forecast to grow and expand, crossing into new sectors. Our meeting will explore the opportunities that these news ways of working present to women, including how we might improve access through flexibility, and how ‘disruptive’ industries may lead to the development of better working practices. The meeting will be chaired the APPG’s Co-Chair, Gillian Keegan MP, and attended by Parliamentarians and industry stakeholders.
