On the 25th and 26th of February, the first Empirics Meeting of the ISIGrowth project has took place in Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna with participants from all ISIGrowth units. Researchers from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Sussex University, Sciences Po, Bielefeld University, ECLAC and University of Ljubljana have presented and discussed the main project topics during 6 work sessions. During the meeting, ISIGrowth researchers have taken stock of the situation concerning the empirical works already in progress and those to be imminently implemented. Moreover, all the issues related to databases access, data management coordination and collaboration among units have been addressed. During the meeting, a variety of ISIGrowth topics have been discussed: patterns of innovation and structural change, globalization of production and finance, de-industrialization, inequality and job consequences of technical change.
